Skype has launched an application to use its VoIP service on Apple’s iPhone. The app is available from 31 March on the Apple App Store. Users can also make calls and use Skype instant messaging on the Apple iPod touch. Skype already offers an application for Windows Mobile phones as well as a Skype lite application for use on other mobile phones. The iPhone application offers free calls to other Skype users over a Wi-Fi connection, calls to other phone lines with the paid Skype Out service, and instant messaging over a mobile or Wi-Fi connection.
