Serbia’s Telecommunications Agency (Ratel) published details of a tender for two CDMA licences. Participants on the tender have to be registered telecommunications providers and are required to pay a EUR 1 million deposit. The one-off fee to be paid for each 10-year licence has been set at EUR 500,000, but the final amount will be known after the public auction. Requests for purchasing the tender documents in the Serbian language are to be made 6-8 April, while the bids need to be submitted by 15 May. The public opening of the bids will take place at Ratel’s headquarters on 15 May. The ten-year licences give rights to spectrum in the 411.875-418.125 and 421.875-428.125 MHz bands to provide fixed wireless voice and data services.
