US-based mobile payment start-up C$ cMoney has received USD 100 million in funding from AGS Capital Group. C$ cMoney plans to use the funds to support its business expansion and the development of the C$ cMoney mobile platform for the financial services industry. Scheduled for launch in early 2011, C$ cMoney’s mobile payment platform will enable consumers to use their mobile phones and SMS services to send money or pay for goods and services anywhere that cash, checks or credit cards are accepted. C$ cMoney is expected to launch its product via the App Store, BlackBerry World and the Android Marketplace.
